An excerpt from the curatorial text:
“The exhibition focuses on the materiality of the digital and questions the sense of intangibility found somewhere in the speed of a web page loading, the reliability of an image stored in the cloud, or the fleeting feeling of intimacy in a chat conducted through corporate servers.
The screen before us offers immersive worlds where colors, speeds, processing power, and storage processes intertwine, while also concealing the fact that its existence and operation depend on metals and minerals. Virtuality can easily seem immaterial, as if it were a space beyond the keyboard, even though it is a mechanism grounded in physical conditions and one that has concrete environmental and social consequences.”
